This page serves as a digital portfolio of the projects I completed over the last 5 years I have studied. It includes work such as site analyses, conceptual developments, sketches, design drawings and presentations.
The aim is to show a variety of designs since my 1st year at Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University in Port Elizabeth, South Africa. Before studying architecture, I enrolled at the art school where I gained a background in graphic design, sculpture, 2-dimensional studies and photography. I firmly believe that this laid a solid foundation for the years to follow, and led me to graduate from BAS, Cum Laude.
In my fourth year I ventured to Europe as an exchange student, where I studied one semester at La Salle University in Barcelona. During my time there I completed modules in Design, Urban design and Social Housing. The experience allowed me to travel and experience Spanish cities and villages like Madrid, Barcelona, Granada, Sitges, Tarragona and Pratdip.
I am as passionate about travelling as I am about architecture and I try to do so whenever I get the opportunity. On these travels I enjoy taking pictures to capture the spirit of the place, document the architecture and build some kind of a personal repository of travel information that may help future designs and understanding different communities, landscapes and economies
I returned to South Africa in 2014 and completed my M.Arch. (Prof) obtaining the Corobrik award for: ' Best deign in masonry" and graduated Cum Laude.
My career as a candidate architect started in 2015, when I began working at Boudry Architects in Woodstock. Over the last year I have been exposed to a variety of commercial, residential and institutional projects. While I am completing my candidacy I aim to gain as much knowledge and exposure in the various fields that make up the profession.
